HEALTH GUARANTEE
Your new puppy is guaranteed to be in good health, free of any communicable disease at the time of sale. Your puppy has been examined & vaccinated by my veterinarian & has been given a clean bill of health. Validation of this guarantee requires examination of your puppy by the Veterinarian of your choice and at the Buyer’s expense within seventy-two (72) business hours of the delivery date. This Veterinary examination is mandatory to confirm that your puppy was not sick or injured at the time of delivery. If your puppy becomes ill within the 72 hour period from the day you receive it, you must call the Breeder/Seller immediately. The Breeder/Seller shall replace it with another puppy of the same/equal value (as soon as available), provided there’s a written letter from a licensed Veterinarian explaining what is wrong with the puppy’s health. The puppy may not be returned for a replacement unless accompanied by the Veterinarian’s letter and registration papers. The Breeder/Seller guarantees the puppy within one year of purchase date against life threatening congenital or hereditary defects. If the puppy has a life threatening congenital or hereditary defect, the buyer has two options: it will be replaced with the first available puppy of the same/equal value from the Breeder/Sellers stock (as soon as available). Or the buyer has the option of a refund minus deposit (seller has up to 12 months to repay Buyer). The Buyer understands that the following slight genetic defects are not considered life threatening and, therefore, not covered by this guarantee: Hernias, retained testis, Tracheal Collapse, Luxating Patella and Hypoglycemia due to the many factors and causes of said conditions, i.e., trauma or environmental issues can cause any of these conditions. Furthermore, the bite, coat, size, and ears standing are not covered. The original puppy must be returned (at Buyer’s expense) before a new puppy can be delivered. In the event of death, an autopsy must be preformed, (at Buyer’s expense), by a licensed Veterinarian to determine the exact cause of death. The report from the autopsy must be sent to my attending Veterinarian for review. The Breeder/Seller is not responsible for any Veterinarian bills the Buyer may incur regarding said puppy.
THE HEALTH GUARANTEE IS NULL AND VOID IF THE PUPPY IS NOT TAKEN TO A LICENCED VETERINARIAN WITHIN 72 BUSINESS HOURS FROM THE DATE OF PICK UP!!! This Guarantee is valid only for the original Buyer and is non-transferable. This Guarantee is null and void if any of the above is caused by abuse, neglect, accident, environment or improper diet (overweight or lack of nutrition).
BUYER’S RESPONSIBILITIES
In order to maintain the limited guarantees outlined herein, the buyer agrees to take good care of this puppy/dog, feed a high quality diet, provide proper grooming, house the dog properly {indoors}, maintain shots, and control the dog on a harness or leash when in public and when off the premises of the dog's home. The dog's outdoor area will be fenced in and secure or acceptable provisions will be made to assure the dog is safe any time he/she is outdoors. Buyer agrees to give the dog proper physical and emotional care and welfare. The Buyer must agree to house the dog indoors as its primary housing. If the dog is found to be allowed to run freely, running at large, creating a public nuisance, or found to be neglected, abused or allowed to live in poor health or poor conditions the Seller has all rights to repossession of this puppy with no refund to the Buyer.
Under no circumstances will the buyer sell, abandon, or give away puppy/dog. If for any reason at any time in the puppy/dog’s life, the puppy/dog cannot be kept by the original Buyer the puppy/dog must be returned to Breeder/Seller at Buyer’s expense. At no time will I use the puppy/dog for breeding purposes. If current circumstances prevent puppy to be spayed by allotted time frame breeder must be notified right away. HYPOGLYCEMIA
TAKE THIS WARNING SERIOUSLY!
Hypoglycemia is a condition found in toy breeds less than 5 months of age. They require more glucose for brain function. Other causes may include: excessive exercise or stress such as a routine car trip, which occurs in the absence of a meal. Pups need to eat every 3-4- hours.
Signs: Weakness, tired or droopy, listlessness, and loss of appetite. These may be followed by a loss of mental alertness, wobbliness, muscle twitching or shaking, seizures and death can result. Not all the above signs mean your pup has hypoglycemia. It may have something else. Please keep in touch with your vet.
Treatment: If puppy is awake, give it honey, Nutri-Cal, Pedialyte, or Karo Syrup my mouth or use a syringe.
Prevention: Regulate play time to 15-20 minutes at a time followed by a nap or rest. Do not allow your puppy to get too tired. Make sure to keep the following items on hand: Pedialyte or Nutri-Cal, meat baby food, yogurt, canned puppy food and a syringe or easy read medicine dropper found in the baby department that comes with a travel cap.
The Seller has made every effort to deliver the puppy to the Buyer in a normal and healthy condition and has provided detailed instructions on how to recognize hypoglycemia. The instructions are part of the purchase contract. Under no circumstances should this information be used to diagnose a puppy with hypoglycemia. Please seek the assistance of a licensed veterinarian.
